By using BankTranslate, you agree to all terms below. Please read carefully. If you do not agree to any part, do not use this service.

1. Service definition and scope

1.1 Services we provide

BankTranslate is a professional document translation platform providing:

  • Bank statement translation:Translate bank statements, transaction records, and similar documents into the target language.
  • Asset certificate translation:Translation of deposit certificates, investment holdings, and related documents.
  • Dual quality assurance:Professional system processing + human review and quality control.
  • Fast delivery:Delivered within 48 hours for standard orders.

1.2 Deliverables

Upon completion, you will receive:

  • Translation file:A complete translated document (PDF), preserving the original layout and formatting.
  • Translation certificate (Certificate of Accuracy):An official certificate that includes:
    • Statement of translation accuracy (we are responsible for the linguistic accuracy)
    • Disclaimer (we do not verify the authenticity of source documents)
    • Service nature statement (for reference only; no notarization effect)
    • Translation date, order number, and support contact
    • Bilingual version in Chinese and English for international submissions

1.2 Services we do not provide

  • We are not a bank or financial institution:We do not provide banking services, financial advice, or asset management.
  • We are not a notary:We do not provide official notarization or certification services.
  • We are not a legal advisory firm:We do not provide legal advice or immigration consulting.
  • We do not guarantee third-party acceptance:Acceptance requirements vary by country/institution; users must confirm independently.

1.3 Certification scope

BankTranslate certifies the linguistic accuracy and completeness of translations. Per industry practice:

  • The authenticity, legality, and validity of source documents are the user's responsibility.
  • Numeric data is translated as-is from the source; we do not verify its correctness.
  • A translation certificate is delivered with each order to certify compliance with professional standards.

Note:If your documents are for government review or official submission, confirm the receiving party's requirements for translation qualifications in advance. Consequences of using false or illegal documents are solely the user's responsibility.

1.4 Service limitations

  • Supported file types:PDF, JPG, PNG bank statements and asset certificates.
  • Supported languages:Chinese to English, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, and other major languages.
  • File requirements:Files must be clear and readable; blurred or severely damaged files may be unprocessable.
  • Delivery time:Standard orders within 48 hours; complex orders based on actual quotes.

2. User rights and obligations

2.1 User rights

As a BankTranslate user, you have the right to:

  • Instant quotes:Receive estimated and accurate quotes immediately after upload.
  • On-time delivery:Receive translations within the promised timeframe.
  • Quality assurance:Request free corrections for major translation errors.
  • Data control:Request deletion of your personal data and files at any time.
  • Refund rights:Apply for refunds if conditions of the refund policy are met.

2.2 User obligations

When using our service, you must:

  • Provide clear files:Ensure uploaded documents are clear, complete, and readable.
  • Lawful use:Upload only files you are authorized to process; do not upload illegal, infringing, or false content.
  • Timely payment:Pay the quoted amount promptly.
  • Self-verification:Verify translation accuracy before official submission.
  • Confirm acceptance:Confirm that the translation format is accepted by the target institution (e.g., immigration office, bank).
  • Protect account:Safeguard your account information and do not share it with others.

2.3 Prohibited behavior

The following actions are strictly prohibited. Violations will result in termination without refund:

  • Uploading illegal, obscene, defamatory, or infringing content
  • Uploading forged or tampered bank documents
  • Abusing the service (e.g., mass registrations, malicious refunds)
  • Attempting to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the platform
  • Impersonating others or providing false contact information
  • Using translations for fraud, money laundering, or other illegal activities

2.4 Anti-money laundering (AML) and compliance

To comply with PRC Anti-Money Laundering laws and related regulations, we reserve the following rights and obligations:

  • Reject suspicious files:We may refuse service and report to regulators if files show obvious forgery or abnormal transaction patterns.
  • Identity verification:For large orders or unusual transaction amounts, we may require additional identity verification.
  • Record retention:Transaction records and legally required compliance information are retained for at least 5 years to cooperate with regulators. Translation files follow the deletion timeline in the Privacy Policy.
  • Suspicious transaction reporting:We are obligated to report suspected money laundering, tax evasion, or fraud to authorities.
  • Prohibited use:Translations must not be used for money laundering, terrorism financing, tax evasion, or any illegal purpose.

Cooperation with investigations:If requested by regulators, we will provide necessary user information and transaction records.

3. Intellectual property

3.1 Your content

  • Copyright of source files:You retain the copyright to files you upload; we claim no ownership.
  • Ownership of translations:Upon completion, the translated output belongs to you.
  • Processing authorization:Uploading files grants us permission to process, store, and transmit them prior to delivery.

3.2 Platform IP

  • Website content:The design, code, copy, and trademarks of BankTranslate are our property.
  • Translation technology:Our translation systems, algorithms, and databases are proprietary.
  • Usage restrictions:You may not copy, modify, or commercially use platform content without permission.

4. Service limitations and disclaimers

4.1 Service availability

We strive to provide stable service but may be interrupted or delayed due to:

  • System maintenance or upgrades (with prior notice)
  • Force majeure (natural disasters, war, government actions)
  • Third-party service outages (e.g., cloud providers)
  • Cyberattacks or security incidents

We are not liable for interruptions caused by the above, but will make best efforts to restore service promptly.

4.2 Translation accuracy limitations

Although we apply "professional system processing + human review", the following limitations may still exist:

  • No absolute accuracy guarantee:Translation involves subjectivity; different translators may express content differently.
  • Known difficulties:Illegible handwriting, specialized financial terminology, or cultural differences may affect accuracy.
  • No guarantee of acceptance:We do not guarantee acceptance of our translation format by all institutions.

4.3 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • BankTranslate makes no express or implied warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
  • We are not liable for indirect losses caused by translation errors, delays, or omissions, including but not limited to:
    • Visa rejections or immigration failures
    • Loan denials or financial losses
    • Business interruption or profit loss
    • Reputational or emotional damages
  • Liability cap: In any case, our total liability will not exceed the fees paid for the service.

4.4 User responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Verifying key information (amounts, dates, account numbers) before use
  • Confirming acceptance of the translation with the target institution
  • Seeking professional advice when necessary (e.g., lawyers, immigration consultants)
  • Consequences arising from user-side issues (e.g., wrong file upload, incorrect info)

5. Pricing and payment

5.1 Pricing rules

  • Real-time quotes:Pricing is calculated in real time based on file type, page count, and service level (standard or expedited).
  • Price confirmation:The quote shown after upload and before payment is the final price.
  • Price adjustments:We reserve the right to adjust rates, but changes do not affect paid orders.
  • Displayed price prevails:All service rates are based on the price shown at checkout; this agreement does not list specific amounts.

5.2 Payment methods

We support WeChat Pay, Alipay, and other third-party methods. Payments are handled by providers; we do not store your card details.

5.3 Refund policy

We provide a clear and fair refund policy. Full details are available on the Refund Policy page. Below is a summary:

  • Full refund scenarios:
    • We failed to deliver within the promised timeframe
    • Major objective translation errors (e.g., numeric errors, critical terminology errors) that cannot be resolved after correction
  • Non-refundable scenarios:
    • Source files are unclear or illegible
    • Subjective differences due to missing terminology references
    • User-side changes in need (e.g., trip cancellation, application withdrawal)
    • More than 7 days after delivery

6. Privacy and data protection

We take privacy and data security seriously. For details on data collection, use, storage, and deletion, see our Privacy Policy.

Summary:

  • We collect only the information necessary for translation
  • All data transfers are encrypted (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Files are retained for 7 days after completion, then permanently deleted
  • You may request deletion at any time

7. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect:

  • Changes in laws and regulations
  • Adjustments to business models
  • New features or services

Notification method:Material changes will be notified by email or posted prominently on the site for at least 30 days. Continued use indicates acceptance.

Refusal of changes:If you do not agree to updated terms, stop using the service and contact us to delete your data.

8. Dispute resolution

8.1 Friendly negotiation

If you have any dispute or dissatisfaction, please contact us via support@banktranslate.com. We will respond within 48 hours and do our best to resolve it amicably.

8.2 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.

If negotiations fail, both parties agree to submit disputes to the competent People's Court at the company's registered domicile in Chengdu, Sichuan, China.
